Independence Day
Yesterday was my first Independence day in America. We went to watch the Macy's fireworks in FDR drive. We went there around 7:00PM. It wasnt tough to while away the time till 9:30. Lot of different types of people gathered there. Sitting there on the street, munching some snack, nobody was bothered about the mild drizzle. After settling down very well, we started to research on the camera. Our new SLR excited us to such an extent that we felt like watching everything only through our SLR view finder. Around 9:00PM we could see some sparkling light on the other side of the water. I have seen lot of fireworks during Diwali, lying on the roof top water tank on our house and chattering with my brother. Still this kinda kept me very much excited. Sharp at 9:30, fireworks started. Sparkling lights lit up the sky. I cud hear a lot of WOWs, 'SUPER's,'WONDERFUL's. Out of all the colorful designs, the smileys were the best. But I could not get a snap of the smileys. We clicked a lot of pictures. Some pics of the color streaks...

MY NEW SLR
I bought a new Canon rebel XSI with EF S 18mm - 55 mm lens with image stabilisation.First day, very much excited we went to take a few snaps at exchange place. Manhattan skyline is a sparkling place. Shoot as much as possible, still u will feel the beauty of this manmade jungle cannot be captured in a single picture. Being a greeenhorn in digital photography, my resolution today is to master the nuances and take great pictures. Some snaps of the dazzling New York from exchange place...
